What is KH vibration sensors?

In any workplace housing motors, fans, pumps, machinery, lathes, or similar equipment, mechanical vibrations are generated by the operation of the machinery itself. The KH vibration sensor is employed to monitor the amplitude of rotational vibrations, converting the vibration values in real time into a signal.

 

Vibration sensors are categorised into several types based on their different chips.

1, Magnetoelectric Vibration Sensor:By cutting magnetic field lines, a minute alternating voltage is induced in the vibration sensor chip.

2,Piezoelectric vibration sensor: Following mechanical deformation, the piezoresistive ceramic exhibits varying resistance values.

3,Eddy current vibration sensor: When a non-contact target approaches a gear or shaft, it generates a high-frequency alternating magnetic field current.

The physical quantities monitored by vibration sensors include the following:

1, Velocity vibration sensor, The measurement captures the true effective value of vibration, reflecting the ageing condition of the object.(mm/s, inch/s)

2, Displacement vibration sensor, The measurement is of the peak value of the vibration.(mm,inch)

3, Acceleration vibration sensor, The measurement is of the peak-to-peak value of the vibration.( m/s2,inch/s2,)

Securely clamp the sensor to the object being measured, ensuring it moves in unison with the object. This allows the two devices to resonate together.

how they are used KH vibration sensorsFirst, it is essential to correctly select an appropriate vibration sensor, including its measurement range, output signal, and mounting method.

When the object being measured is a cylinder, the correct method is to mount it vertically on the casing; occasionally it may also be mounted horizontally.

When measuring a flat object, you must analyse where the vibration source originates from, then install the sensor at the corresponding perpendicular angle. Ensure it is securely fixed and cannot become loose.

The cable must be securely installed to the sensor to prevent signal transmission interruptions. Our factory-supplied cables are shielded RVVP signal cables. Should you require an extension, we recommend using cable of equivalent specification.

The required components and connection methods vary depending on the vibration sensor employed. Our sensors can directly transmit standard 4-20mA or RS485 communication signals, significantly enhancing product performance and operational efficiency without the need for additional data acquisition boards.

· Defective products can be detected and sorted early based on vibration levels.
